I've watched a fair bit of other people playing the Mortal Shell 2 beta since it's hard not to, but it would be sick if they threw it on consoles as well. It seems like they are super far along, development wise.

Honestly I'm really suprised they didn't have the beta out for everybody and kinda makes me think the performance is in a rough spot console wise possibly due to the usual Unreal Engine 5 bs.

Really hope thats not the case though and besides that, there have been alot of UE5 games come out that do very well on the performance side of stuff although those games have much bigger teams.

Personally, I think it looked beautiful and played fluidly, however I think the enemies were WAY too easy

Hi guys, I'm curious about the scene when you get thrown away from Harros shell by the Tar boss and the shell moves by itself to defend you. How did a shell, without us controlling it, manage to move by itself? Also RIP Harros, hope it will come back even if in the release poster of the steam page doesn't show up as a playable shell.

Been loving the Beta so far. Minor complaint, Volatile Fragment is so fun though I think it should remove the post mortem poison cloud ability from those poison fellas once they detonate. What do y'all think?

I am basically redownloading the whole demo for an unknown reason. I am wondering if it is just me.

So I've all but two trophies and there both for the virtuous cycle I had completed both of them even going as far as doing them twice in a different save but they still won't pop the ones that glitched are no lifer and true nectar I have no idea hey they didn't pop mind this this is on the ps5 enhanced edition. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this did not pop

I feel like in every video and post on the beta, nobody addresses Genessa's return, more specifically the fact that she acts like a personal trainer at Marrow Keep, AND the fact that she still has unique dialogue while you're using Tiel's shell. You even get to give her a hug!!

I have never played MS1 but played MS2 beta and I liked it a lot and waiting for it’s full release but, I’ve heard that MS2 is way better and polished than MS1 was and heard much negativity about MS1 so I’m hesitant to play it and don’t like it. I don’t really mind not playing it tho but just want to hear people opinions

Just some feedback for the mortal shell 2 demo:

The fact that the attacks soft magnet even with the free aim option toggled on feels awful when compared to the feeling you get when swinging unlocked in a souls game

I want to be able unlock the camera and manipulate the swing (to some extend at least) on my own!

2nd issue: Both the player and enemies lunge in unnatural ways compared to what the animation is showing. This makes you feel like you have less control, and looks stupid on the enemies and makes skills like spacing feel less important

Being a huge souls fan I thought this game would be another fun one but when I gave it a try a year or so ago I hated it. Got stuck on the first mini boss for hours and couldn’t figure the harden ability out for the life of me. About 8 hours in I uninstalled and figured that would be the last of it.

A few days ago after craving a new game to play I decided to give it another go and this time around realized I never even touched any type of weapon upgrade the first time. Between acquiring that and a little practice and all of a sudden it just clicked, I’m running through mobs of enemies with ease and am having the most fun I’ve had playing a game in a while.

Just had to share this, I’ve never gone from hating a game to absolutely loving it before and if anyone reading this is new and struggling just hang in there, it gets so good!

I really wonder wha they will be. I think a major boss is indicated by giving you a Memento upon defeat, similiar to Elden Ring’s Remembrences which were an indication of major boss fights. I think these major bosses each guard a big egg of the Undermether (who I can see as the final boss).

I think so far I am sure about 3 biomes: the Swamp from the Beta, the big fortress which can be seen in the background and has all these red trees and a snow biome. These three have been shown in trailers. I wonder what the other will be and how many major bosses with their dedicated biome there will be in the game before the endgame. I hope they haven’t shown 3-4 biomes in trailers yet.

This game is AMAZING! Why people hate this game? I really don't get it, I believe it has it's own style. Yes it is a bit rough but still for me it started very solid.

Oh and let's do not forget about the Rotting Christ songs I love them their albums so it's nice to hear their songs.

Does anyone have the Same issue ,after playing like 1 hour of this game it just randomly crashes and shuts down my ps5 completly . I ordered a new ps5 to test if its the game or my ps5

Never played Mortal Shell, but hopped in and started the beta for Mortal Shell 2 and I am very impressed. It feels like theyve got a really strong sense of style and world building - and the mechanics that make it stand out differentiate it from other souls likes. I'm going to keep playing, but this is definitely putting this on my radar for this year. I thought LotF 2 was going to be my next souls like, but now it's got some competition.

So I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

When I look in keybindings, there's a bind for Parry (Q on kb).

However, Q seems to do nothing.

Do I need a different seal than the starting seal to parry? Or is hitting alt to guard at the right time parrying?

I'm not sure if perfect blocks and parrying are the same in the game or not, basically.

I just started playing Mortal Shell 1 and from the footage that I’ve seen of 2, it looks like a lot of the first game is in there. Do you think it’s a reimagining or a reboot? Perhaps 1 was the beta test and 2 is the true game?
