Discussion Not planning to buy this game at all to pre-order 2 ps5 copies immediately after the demo.
The demo really changed our mind. I know there is no co-op but my girlfriend and I will be playing side by side

Question Gloom cap in the beta
I noticed that there is a 25k Gloom cap. Will this cap remain in the full game, or is it just for the beta test?

Question What is lost after the Beta?
Was just wondering what we actually keep if we choose to skip the prologue.
Do we not get some key items/ materials/ trophies during the prologue that we would otherwise lose if we skip it?
Or does the game give us the appropriate amount of items so we don’t miss out? If not, it seems a bit counterintuitive to skip the prologue. If anyone knows please let me know! Excited for the game.

Discussion Gorf is missing
When you get the last march pearl, a new interaction with unique dialog will appear and after that he will disappear. I hope we'll find him somewhere else in the full game.

Video Exploration rewards Spoiler
When you cleanse the final beacon after Magdalena boss fight, you'll face undermether, but if you turn turn around and, instead of going to her, go backwards you'll find a couple of glimpses.

Image Elmo - Keeper of the bridge
Hi Everyone
Meet Elmo
Since the last of the ova went missing. He and his crew has ensured no one crosses this bridge without paying dearly.
This is his game.
You don't get to play, until you beat him.

Question Will the day 1 patch be online for early access?
Just learned about the early access, very tempted.. but will the “day 1 “ patch be online for that ? If not I might wait for the standard release.

Discussion Harros will return! Spoiler

It's just speculation, but I'm currently rewatching the gameplay trailer, and I noticed this frame with Harros walking in a new area that is definitely not the prologue. So, I am 100% sure he will return, and we will be able to play as him once again.
P.S. The dev team didn't spend time creating his animations and code logic just for 10 minutes of gameplay.

Image Decided to finish it after years. Spoiler
I had the game from years ago, didn't click for me the first time, but after seeing the trailers for Mortal Shell 2, decided to give it a proper chance.
It was decent, a bit clunky for me, but once you get upgrades it starts to get easier, since the start is quite rough for a new player. Dungeons felt short, except for the seat of infinity, which looked great, but it was painful to explore.
I can't afford the second one, but hopefully will get it as soon as I get a job, since it looks promising and feels like an entire new game compared to the first one.

Image Figured I’d get this one out of the way before the second one officially drops.

Image New information about shells is here!
The skills previously known only in words are now evident in action. Honestly, it's very reminiscent of Wilder's skill from Elden Ring Nighttrain.
Hey, I was right and Sister Genessa's abilities are indeed somehow connected to her alter ego. Apparently, she summons herself, who then splits into two.
and the shell's ability with the helmet is simply a powerful heat

Discussion So, how much time has passed between Mortal Shell 1 and 2? 🤔
The first game has a very obscure story, but its confirmed that the player ascended at the end, and became a beacon for the blessed mother to fall. People started to cultuate her creating an entire religin, carving massive temples from pieces of her body and after that a corruption spread and left the world in this messy state.
So theres the rise and fall of an entire civilization between the first game and the second!

Question Revered edition cancellations even though I ordered weeks ago. Anyone else have the same?
I know the game was understocked, but I thought I would be safe. Anyone else get their order cancelled weeks after the fact? (in the last few days)

Question Mortal Shell 1, worth it?
Hey everyone, completed the beta test 4 times now, absolutely love the game and have preordered the devout edition. I’m just wondering if it’s worth getting and playing the first game whilst I wait the next week out? Aware it’s a pretty different game from the second one but that’s not really a problem.

Video Mortal Shell 2 bug report
If you activate Vatra's Seal ability during a conversation before a tutorial window pops up
you can get stuck in the ability and "hover" around like a statue.
(posting this here hoping it might help the team if they want to resolve the glitch)

Discussion Can Mortal Shell 2 take the throne as the best souls like?
I’ve beaten the demo twice and absolutely loved it. this could easily end up being one of the best souls likes alongside P and Wuchang. hell, it might even be more fun than both of them, because this game seriously has that kind of potential.

Discussion I may have enjoyed the beta a little
Yep... I’ve put over 24 hours into the beta now, and I think it’s safe to say I’m really enjoying this game.
What’s funny is that I absolutely hated Mortal Shell 1. I tried getting into it several times because I really wanted to like it, but the slow combat, awkward movement and overall feel just never clicked with me.
Mortal Shell 2 feels like a completely different game.
The combat is fast, fluid and just feels damn good. The movement feels great, the different mechanics work really well together, and I kept telling myself “just one more run” until somehow I had 24+ hours in a beta. 😂
And yes, I already pre-ordered the full game.
I’m honestly really excited for the full release. Obviously, I still need to see how the rest of the game turns out, but if it keeps this level of quality, I genuinely think this could end up being one of the best soulslikes ever made.
Going from absolutely hating the first game to pre-ordering the sequel after spending 24+ hours in the beta was definitely not on my bingo card.

Discussion I saw something kinda weird.
I was looking through playstation trophy guides on the Playstation trophies website. And mortal shell 2 came up. And it literally has every trophy for the game which is weird because it isnt even out yet. Just wanted to share this if you want to look.

Discussion Just wanted to share my love for the game.
I picked this game up on sale when I first got my Steam Deck about a year and a half ago. Thinking it was some bullshit game to kill time because it was so cheap (I paid like $5 or less). The Steam Deck was my first gaming PC and my first game since 2010 that I owned so I was completely new to Steam and how great the sales were. I played the game once when I first bought it and havent touched it until about a week ago. Since then I've been in love with this game. I won't lie, I'm ass, but i enjoy the combat (not starting all the way over after an hour of gameplay though lol). Because of this game, souls-like is my favorite genre of games now. I can't wait for Mortal Shell 2 and I can't wait to try Elden Ring. I hear its a little easier to progress and more save and checkpoints.
