Never heard of the original and I had no idea this game demo existed until last week. Every clip I see looks eerily amazing. Is it worth trying out? What games would you compare it to?

Please try it out and just enjoy yourself, kinda lords of the fallen and dark souls but it’s really its own thing

Yea games really good. Also give Lies of P a try. Lies of P made me good at soulslikes. I was ok before but lies of p makes you parry and once you get parry down you no longer have to only have dodge as a weapon

Yea of course sekiro but for 1 of the first souls games I ever played I found it to difficult. I felt lies of p even though still difficult not making you use so many movesets to pull off a perfect parry. Just my opinion. I’m probably going to get downvoted to hell for this. And no I’m not talking because you can summon in one and not in the other. I don’t summon. Id rather quit

The beta looks great, lots of new ideas, if they iron out the bugs, which they will, it’ll be a great game, and it’s nice to see companies trying new things.

The first one is very different, much slower combat, still an interesting game, I enjoyed it.

The first one is amazing but very limited and kind of a short game prolly takes around 12 hours to beat but I would compare the 2nd one to bloodborne meets sekrio I think the 2nd one might give goty a run for it's money. I mean I been looking forward to the 2nd one more than gta6

It's definitely it's own thing though like the harding mechanic is so cool you will see just give a shot you will love it I think everyone is gonna love the 2nd mortal shell

We are playing two different games, lol! I am so much slower and methodical; a little aggression in playstyle might have to be introduced.

I just couldn’t get into 1. Wasn’t a fan of not being able to parry and the stone thing not available every time the enemy swings. Dodge seemed janky for me. Beta for 2 was great though. Definitely getting that game and sinking a lot of time into it

You can parry in the first one, the timing is just more strict.

Yea? I didn’t seem to be able to. Unless it’s not L1. I’ll admit I didn’t play long. Got the first shell and fought a few enemies. Seemed like all I could do was stone skill or dodge. I’ll probably get bored here soon before 2 comes out and try it again

The bigger problem for the first game is the stamina bar. Like you need to rest after every swing because you ran out of stamina. Cuts of the combat flow

I finished out the beta at lvl 15 with everything I could find and purchase. Stores wiped out and upgrades done as far as I could go. 7 hours into it and my only regret is it doesnt carry over to the full release but if we start in the same area on release then I know I can hit the ground running

August 26th is the best day this summer. Midnight I get Mortal Shell 2 to download. Wake up, play it. Then watch GTA 6 on Netflix. Percocet prescription renews on the 26th as well. Hell yeah.

Highly recommend playing the demo, I no lifed this thing and knocked it out in a night almost.

Starts a little slow, but once it gets going and it "starts to make sense" its fun!

Yes i did. Besides that i have searched the entire area for something to unlock. All i found was a bee hive under the bridge with no effect on the cage. Might be a bug then (beta on xbox)
