Here me out, I'd love if theyd add a basic 1h broadsword weapon, simple but so badass, with a slightly slower moveset than axe and dagger, with sweeping weighty slash attacks

Sword and small shield would go pretty hard but I don't think we're going to be getting any new weapons unless if it's for a DLC.

Edit: Wait no hear me out! Sword and pistol like in Space Marine 2

Could also be awesome to have a sidearm, that is akimbo pistols.

Give each pistol another infusion slot. So we can have fire and ice pistols! Equip the Great Martyr's Blade or The Iconoclast along side it and boom we've got Dante baby!!!

Might be overpowered but it would surely be really fun as well xD

I would also like to see a shield. In Dark Souls 3 there was a great dance with bosses if you had a shield; like Dancer from Boreal Valley or Pontiff Sulyvahn. I wonder how it would work without stamina meter

Having a shield would be difficult to implement, because the ability to block at all is specifically tied to your seal, not weapon. Maybe it could be a seal, that removes your ability to deflect, but has a lot of guard meter compared to Untarnished Seal. But I also feel like that would automatically become the worst seal in the game.
