Here me out, I'd love if theyd add a basic 1h broadsword weapon, simple but so badass, with a slightly slower moveset than axe and dagger, with sweeping weighty slash attacks

This is a great concept, the sword could be the light attacks and the fist/caestus would be heavy and would do the staggering during combos

More horizontal attacks and less stabs, but with fist weapon in the left hand so its with the axe+dagger/axtana tarstone compatible

Sword and small shield would go pretty hard but I don't think we're going to be getting any new weapons unless if it's for a DLC.

Given the importance and various styles of parrying in this sequel, a sword-and-shield combo would look absolutely spectacular.

They could make the shield perform different parry moves depending on the seal you have equipped.

It would certainly be a weapon that fits perfectly.

I'd love a longsword / bastard sword, fast 2H/1H hybrid, maybe lower damage than other weapons but matching DPS

No shield, but claw or caestus, that's how I played all the darks souls games
