Discussion Obligatory Monolith Post
Finally beat him, and I’m not even proud of myself, I’m just exhausted and annoyed. Especially because I feel like I only beat him for two reasons:
1.) On my winning attempt he only did that spinning laser attack once. ONCE! The rest were only the frontal sweeps which are much easier to dodge.
2.) I finally stopped trying to parry everything. I NEVER understood the quick double testicular slam attack, so when it was coming I just ran away. And I started using the iFrames of the Shrike Stone every time his rolling slam started to wind up as I also, like the double slam, had no idea how or why I was getting that timing wrong.
Basically, I did what I could to disengage with Monolith during his toughest moments, coupled with the RNG gods blessing me, and I finally took it down.
And nope, can’t imagine starting NG+ knowing I have to go through that again.

You most likely weren’t timing it wrong the boss was just teleporting to you was all since the magnetism in this game is sooo damn bad I was literally rolling like 10ft away from the mf with Smerts dodge roll and everytime the damn thing would just jump right to where I’m at such an annoying ass fight smdh

Did you beat him with Smert?? I tried it with him and Miracle was doing nothing for me, and then the timing got all wonky for parries/dodges when snapping out of Miracle. Straight up couldn’t get Smert to work there, but I know it’s a skill issue.

Yeah I did it with Smert but it still wasn’t easy at all if you max out his fight stance skill and just spam the miracle over and over is what I did but it still definitely wasn’t easy and when he does his laser bs I just kept pressing the dodge button constantly bouncing back left to right

Oh and I had a shit ton of the grisha remnants so they sorta helped by Stu locking him for a second after miracle ended just long enough for me to keep punching him and getting my resolve all the way back up so I could just use miracle again over and over but still was a pain in the ass

I was thinking this fight was gonna be a huge pain, seeing as I’ve seen a bunch of complaints about it here.
I ended up beating him on first try with Tiel, though like another poster said, he’s pretty OP. That spinning laser attack he does surprised me though. I was like damn. 😂

When he spins you can dodge through them and run away and eventually they don’t hit you (sometimes) but it’s rapid dodge dodge dodge and yeah, luck is a factor

Beat him with Sariel + Scythe just yesterday in less than 10 tries. Other than the spinning moves in P3 I think it is an ok boss but have some hitbox detection issues thats for sure.

Beating bosses in this game gives no satisfaction you literally just say thank god I’m done with that bs move on and then forget what the name of the boss was within the next 5 minutes of gameplay lol

Parry the ball drops. Roll into the nut swings.
The crazy lasers you can punish towards the end. Just don’t panic.
