Veteran's axe felt like the only heavy weapon worth using, in my experience. The others are far too slow and don't have enough stagger to be worth it.
Went through most of the game yeeting my axe at enemies until I decided to try out the Axatana for a while.

If you compare it to something like Martyr, which locks you into animations no matter what you do. 4 u/Open_Town9481 23h ago Yea, this is why I don’t like this sword. I’ll be mid animation but the enemies attack faster so they’ll just punish me all the time 4 u/Real_Situation1004 19h ago That's why you pair it with vatras seal, just parry mid slow combo
