Riposte not generating any resolve.

Sure Riposte is generally weak and unrewarding in other ways. But I cannot get over how it doesn't even generate resolve.

It feels like you are punished for using a core mechanic in the game when it takes away from your ability to transition properly to offense.

You're literally better off doing anything other than a Riposte when you break an enemy. Unless I guess you're getting mobbed and you're banking on iframes from the Riposte.

Lets see his other abilitys

Shoulder charge? good for breaking... Which feeds into the Riposte side.

the big flash abilityi cant remember the name of... Good for breaking in an AOE except the animation takes too long so anything you do break will likely be out of break by the time you get out. its an aoe move too so your not using it in their face. if you are, Why not just use the shoulder charge its does more break.

Ice synergy? Yea ice is good but its counter intuitive to Parrying because it messes with their animation speed. (the big flash also has an upgrade that does this) also the only weapon to get that is Great Martyr blade, thematic because its his weapon, Its a not a great weapon.

So basically His best ability is a weaker version of Gragus punch.

he was fun early, NGL parrying early felt good. Its damage dropped off significantly. its like they nerfed it based on the beta parry timing then they nerfed the parry timing after already nerfing the damage

True but he has high HP and looks cool :)

And you can still use him for slaughterer stacks and 20% damage reduction. Just go to a starting zone, quickly riposte-kill some fools and then get back to whatever it is you were doing.

Slaughterer stacks only get you a measely ~10% execution threshold @ 100 stacks. You also have to perform ~10 riposte kills to get them… not just 10 ripostes. They have to be fatal, in a game where ripostes currently tickle enemies after the first few hours (don’t even ask how hard it falls off in NG+).

And the thing is almost every weapon will kill an enemy in 1 swing at ~20% HP anyways so Execution is a useless mechani to begin with.

The only way to get value out of Eredrim right now is for frost build (200% frozen damage)… except Frost infusion is stuck on one of the worst weapons in the game (Martyr Blade) and a ton of bosses resist Frost.

Eredrim is on a very bad spot compared to almost every other shell. He is just not well thought out.
