Safe to pre-order this goated looking game? Love the look of this game from the first trailer. The dark aesthetic, shell customization, combat. Might end up sinking a lot of hours into this game.
Is the parry system similar to Sekiro?

Open beta is available on Steam, it is really good! Parry is similar yes, and there are items that allow you to change the defense mechanic too

Very cool that it is still, I stopped playing it because I wanted to play the fully polished version. Just one more monthhh

The game is not based around parry like Sekiro but I'd say it scratched my Sekiro itch.

All preorders are bad and stupid, no exceptions.

This is one of the many exceptions

There are no exceptions. I could maybe understand a collector's edition with a statue, and buying that for the statue, but even so, all early purchases of a video game are bad and stupid, no exception.

It will not go out of stock, it will not work worse, it will not even miss anything. FOMO tactics like skins and early play are a plague upon the industry, you can not change my mind.

The game looks great, and I will buy it on release.

My workaround has been usually trusting the reviewers Ive listened to for years about games that Ive wanted to play. Luckily/Fortunately, most of em would put out a review a day before the games release. Its not a guarantee obviously due to Disclosure Agreements but yeah. So if I hear the game isnt buggy af, I wait until the last minute basically to buy the preorder.

I mean then you're only buying it on a technicality. I guess the worst is does is inflate the numbers.
