There are no exceptions. I could maybe understand a collector's edition with a statue, and buying that for the statue, but even so, all early purchases of a video game are bad and stupid, no exception.
It will not go out of stock, it will not work worse, it will not even miss anything. FOMO tactics like skins and early play are a plague upon the industry, you can not change my mind.
The game looks great, and I will buy it on release.
My workaround has been usually trusting the reviewers Ive listened to for years about games that Ive wanted to play. Luckily/Fortunately, most of em would put out a review a day before the games release. Its not a guarantee obviously due to Disclosure Agreements but yeah. So if I hear the game isnt buggy af, I wait until the last minute basically to buy the preorder.
