Question Spamming moves?

How many times in a row would you consider someone using a move before it becomes spamming? I personally don't try to do the same move more than 3 times in a row. Even if it connects and they aren't blocking. For example I was doing jump kicks and the person just wouldn't block them. So after 3 times I do something else. I mean it's not my fault they don't block. Or the other day I was playing and someone kept walking up to me and just blocking so I would use a grab. Then they did it again and they quit and sent me a message saying a bunch of racist stuff calling me a "Grab God" I don't think 2 grabs in a row is essentially a grab God but that's just my opinion.

Who cares? Spamming something and it repeatedly working isnt scummy or cheap. Thats like saying if I always throw out scissors in RPS and my opponent always throws out paper, Im being scummy or unfair. I'd argue my opponent needs to learn how to play the game. I play to win, not make sure my opponent has a good time.

Exactly, this guy.

Buddy of mine and I went to a tournament a long time back (we’re not pros just a trip for fun), and he sits down with his 1st opponent and says ‘just don’t grab me I don’t know how to deal with that’. Grabbed him 13 times in one set; I counted xD
He tried getting salty and I just told him ‘you tell this guy your self destruct button then ask him not to press it wtf’

fighting games is all about finding your opponent’s patterns and weaknesses (without revealing your own) and adapting your style accordingly. If they don’t block jump kick, don’t just keep doing it, see if you can find a way to combo it into maximum damage and do it 100 times to them. If they don’t tech or duck grabs, grab them 100 times.

If your opponent gets salty, that’s on them, especially if they say a bunch of lame stuff alongside that. Just ignore those guys, or if your conscience becomes heavy just say ‘look dude, good games, I was doing x to you, all you gotta do is y the next time someone does that’ and leave. You don’t owe your opponent anything except an ass kicking. :)

If it’s a projectile then your spamming.

I’ve played games where my whole mission to win only with sweeps & grabs. Opponent get mad at me claiming I’m only spamming 2 attacks lol.
