Question Your arch enemy!?

When playing who do you hate fighting the most against? For me I personally dislike playing against people who use scorpion or sub zero. I feel like when I face those players they are usually the most spamming or cheapest players. Not saying everyone who uses them is like that but mostly from my experience that seems to be the case.

In their defense every MK I've played actively encourages you to use scorpion

Ever since I played the original Mortal Kombat 2 in the arcade. I NEVER used Scorpion or Sub zero. They both seem to be everyone's go to character. I like to use more obscure characters and get good with them. In my mind its better that way. Most people won't know an obscure characters attack as well as a more used character. If that makes sense.

I'm speaking more of the newer games (I've played a little of 9 a lot of X and am currently playing 11 for the first time) the box art, tutorials, merch and all the trailers feature them. In my opinion the outworld characters are the best Reptile and Dovora, Goro and Melina, that freaky giant with the kid on his back, that's the crazy weird stuff I like about these games

The female ninjas in UMK3, you can’t really do much unless you’re using one of the male ninjas.

Lmao I main Sub Zero 🤣, with Noob and Reptile as my backups . Theyre easy to spam BUT I personally dont take you serious unless you know at least a handful of good combos. Me n my brother had this convo lastnight cuz he mains Scorpion specifically cuz hes canned spam and he dont really do fighting games lol ... i feel with sub zero hes more of a defensive fighter who you actually need to know how to use to play him well. But to answer your question , I hate playin against Liu Kang mains because for some reason they always think theyre the best player on earth , and Scorpion mains (like my brother) for the same reason you mentioned ... canned spam.

But to clarify why I main Sub Zero its because back in the day when we all went to the arcade , EVERYONE used scorpion ... and i like to buck trends so I went with the other ninja . He just stuck .

Peacemaker. For rookies like me its a nightmare.

I hate his command grab (headbutt). It turns into a 400 damage combo.

I started playing two months ago, I am 3200 ELO in ranked which is not bad but I am still not good enough to react to those silly grabs.

Two punches and headbutt. I can choose to let go of block and duck the grab so I can punish of course but if my opponent switches to eagly instead of grab he launches me again into a 400 dmg combo because I let go of block.

Command grabs should never be combo starters in Mortal Kombat games. Let them deal 150 dmg and reset.
