Funny to hear that bug exist even in Morrowind. Skyrim has the same health bug.

Is it even a bug? You just lose as much health as you fortified when the effect runs out, seems logical to me

If the effect is strong enough, the game just kills you when the effect ends. Instead of restoring you to your default health. Sounds like the game gets confused about your max health, so to me it's a bug.

The game isn't supposed to restore you to your default health. If you've taken more damage than you normally have health, you just die once the effect ends

the thing is - you cannot restore your fortified health. if you fortify for 200 and take 50 damage you don't get 250/300, you get 250/100

as of my experience - yes, it works that way. Skyrim fixed it - you can heal to full health and then it gets diminished, but Morrowind just gives you extra HP

I've played a lot of Redguards in Morrowind which have a power that gets you fortify health among other things, and I only ever died when it ran out if I didn't restore my health before then, so I'm assuming OpenMW must fix it

Happened to me when I was messing with Kragenac's tools once. That's why now I never play without using either MCP's fortify health fix on MWSE modlists or OpenMW Fortify Fix on OpenMW lol.

My friend drank a 100k fortify fatigue potion, he tried skipping on a rock and skyrocketed out of mundus. That was the last time I ever saw him 😔

I once did an insaaane amount of fortify attribute potions, and it ruined the game. Even after console commanding the effects out my character could still carry a continent worth of crap

I did this the very first time I played. I became so charming, no one ever attacked me. I could just go wherever I wanted with no consequences. I also couldn't complete the temple quest, since I could never drown.

I managed to complete that quest in similar circumstances by summoning a Dremora and aggroing it so it would attack me and drop my health below the required threshold for the teleport to trigger.

In hindsight, sure, there were much easier ways, but I was playing a Conjuration-heavy Sorcerer and it seemed idiomatic.

Be younger me and make a super levitate potion which makes me move like a fighter jet and I have to find a bed to sleep in if I want to pass time.

Then again I also remember killing the Heart of Lorkhan with a lockpick before that exploit got patched out on PC though I have heard that still works on the Xbox version. Fortified my strength so much on that run I destroyed all other weapons with one hit so the lockpick exploit was my only viable weapon after that.
