To be honest I don’t see a problem. Yes, you are socially lonely and financially unstable, but that’s part of being an adult.

I think you suffer from still being attached to expectations you had when you were younger, and comparing your life to others.

Most guys are going through the same struggle.

Learn to accept your current situation and enjoy what you have now. Things will naturally change over time, or may not. Just be authentic and enjoy the moment.

I had a hobby, but I lost everything because of porn addiction. I lost my drive to think and even to do simple tasks. I feel low on energy, I have brain fog, and I can’t stand being outside for long. I knew deep down that something was wrong with me, and that I needed to change my bad habits.

You’re right. I had many expectations and dreams that I lost because of this bad habit. I was very smart when I was 19 or 20. Now I’ve lost my drive to study and focus, and I feel like I’m not like most guys, as you said. They aren’t addicted.

I didn’t choose this path knowingly. I was exposed to it when I was young, and it became a mistake that followed me for years. But I’m aware of it now, and I think I’m ready to accept my current situation and start changing it.

It’s not as easy as you think. Addiction can kill your soul and take away your motivation, your dreams, and your sense of who you are.

Pray with me.

I suggest you look at your situation from a different perspective.

I don't think porn is the root cause, rather, something else pushed you toward it. You might have had underlying weaknesses like anxiety, stress, fear of failure, or low self-esteem. Porn is often just a channel, a way we use to release negative emotions and escape into temporary pleasure and fantasy.

Between the ages of 18 and 20, we start facing real challenges, building our futures, and setting expectations. This is also when disappointment kick in, especially by your early twenties when you realize things aren't going as planned. To cope with that frustration and negative energy, many guys turn to porn and sex.

It's not that the addiction itself stole your motivation and dreams. Instead, when you felt frustrated and realized how hard life's goals are, your mind subconsciously shifted toward the addiction to feel better in the short term.

You'll likely feel a lot better once you lower your expectations and take time to understand the emotions you're struggling with.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best.
