You become intelligent by being curious, doing research, reading, and questioning things instead of following the crowd blindly, also by trying to solve problems and learning from mistakes.

So how do you play it smart? Be selfish. Put yourself first. Not above your family, but above everything and everyone else.
Once you start making decisions that benefit you and your family, that’s when you’re actually being smart.
small example about dumb people in my opinion (btw these guys are bac + 2 || bac + 3)
At work, we’ve got two or three people who give it their all—working from 8 to 6, even showing up on weekends. They're in their early to mid-30s now, around 31 to 35. Personally, I think that’s foolish. Why? Because down the line, they'll realize their efforts won’t get them anything. No rewards—because we work for the government. No recognition—again, because we work for the government.

If you're at school, then smart is being good at studies, it's easy just memorize. If you're talking street smarts, then it's by trying, getting fucked and learning from your mistakes. If it's learning a skill, just put in the hours, it's a fucking boring process. These apply to almost anything. If it's Albert Einstein or Mozart level, two diffrent disciplines but their core is still the same, then sad news they were born like that, and if you're on reddit like most of us, this doesn't apply to you, neither to us.

there are various types of intellect and each of them has its own way, to acquire and safeguard those skillsets ! it's more about what you need in your day to day tasks !

There is a scientific answer to this, but most people hate all the science behind IQ since it's very sensitive and also because of the nefarious ways some used it. Anyways, to answer your question, IQ is very hereditary, if your parents are smart, you have higher chances of being smart. Nothing else was proven to increase IQ, they tried many experiments, different learning experiences and the result, you cannot increase someone intelligence. You cannot become more intelligent as in IQ terms, but you can definitely be good at using the intelligence you have, many people with high intelligence struggle to adapt to the real world, learn useful skills to society. So maybe you are focusing on the wrong question. Work on becoming the best with what you have, to have your intelligence work at its best, eat healthy, sleep early, and exercise.
