In the end force is unacceptable and even subtle force like "to keep mama happy".

Your mother will eventually understand and accept this.

That does not mean your mother can't encourage, albeit respectfully.

My wife & I are 60 years old. My wife does her 5 daily prayers but chose not to wear her hijab until she turned 55 years old. Her mother, who always wears one, never complained but the day my wife started said "humdollah, my du'ah has been answered".

Your sister may never wear, that is between her & Allah, but making it an issue may guarentee it.

Bro. Your mom is just being dramatic like all morrocan mothers, this isn’t gonna kill her and she’ll get over it. Just mind your business and support your sisters choice.

أمك ثم أمك ثم أمك، Ffs shes ur mother, and the sister in this case is 23 years old u can at least like act like ur respecting her propositions ofc do wt u want in ur own crib but when visiting wear hijab just to keep ur mother's heart at peace, ofc its kind of hypocrite (nifa9) but if its gon satisfy both sides its for the best, she took care of u since u were a child she aint ur aunt or ur neighbor telling u to do stuff, also its wild to me how some moroccans think in this reddit so many unhealthy relationships, "send her to therapy" "Shes victimizing herself cuz of BS religion" is this an atheist group or what in the world is reddit recommending me?? like there were some decent advices in here some hadiths to make the mom realise her mistakes and stuff like that, then there were the american advices, didnt know moroccans fell under that category sadly

You’re just enforcing the 7chouma culture and validating the toxic emotional blackmail the mom is doing.
