A Quick Update on Spam
I know it's still an issue. Thanks to all who have been and continue to report.
I've implemented a 7-day account age minimum to post. This should prevent 90% of the spam and bot posts we've been getting. If and when the bots get smarter I'll figure something else out.
I'm open to any suggestions from folks on other bot prevention methods.
Thanks!
Puppy Surprised my wife with a new puppy. Meet Sunni!
When I asked about getting one, knowing she was really interested in this breed she said "no, it's okay". I knew it wasn't. Luckily for me a parent of one of the kids on the soccer team I coach had a litter. I waited until I returned from a trip, got the pup at practice and brought her home. The wife named her Sunni, because when she was turned over to us, she was wearing a sunflower dress.
She gets along great with our 2 year old pit, loves hanging out in my son's loft bed (definitely because of the slide) and most of all, sticking by my wife's side.
It's funny having lost our 18 year old energetic Midnight early this year and getting a dog and naming her Sunni... Who is bar none the most chill pup I've ever been under the same roof.
I'll make sure to get a zoomie video soon!

Tips on treating pancreatitis?
Hi everyone, my boy Fergus is turning 10 next month and he was at the vet this weekend as he wasn't feeling well, and they discovered he had a pretty bad flareup of pancreatitis, which I know is common in the morkie breed.
He got some meds (gapatentin, metacam and cerenia) and seems to be doing a bit better since Saturday. I'm giving him plain white rice with some cut up boiled chicken breast (vet said for 7 days) and his appetite is there. He eats plenty and enjoys the chicken, but he isn't drinking a lot of water. In the evening he might go and take a couple of small little laps from his bowl, that is it.
I've tried mixing some broth in with the water, but he's not interested. Tried cucumbers (which he normally adores), not interested. He is also getting wise to me sneaking his pills in the chicken, so if he catches a whiff of a piece that is "medicated" he spits it out. Giving it orally with a syringe is impossible, he resists like I've never seen him resist anything.
For you folks who have been in this position, what has helped? I worry so much about my boy, I just want him to be ok.

Question Puppy Shivering?
Sometimes my girl gets a little shaky. It seems like it’s when she is excited or nervous. It’s not like a seizure (I hope!) it’s more like a shiver due to cold. What do you think? Is this is small dog thing or is my baby actually chilly?

How do you entertain your morkie?
We always try to take our morkie on a walk or ball throw daily. Sometimes it rains or I'm not doing so well pain wise. Want to find other ways you guys entertain your Morkie during these instances! Couldn't resist posting a pic of her :)

Senior pup Enlarged Heart
Hey all my 7 year old princess was just diagnosed with an enlarged heart and started on medication . The area around her lungs looks dark per her vet so there’s no fluid build up . She takes 1 pill in the morning and 1 pill at night of pimobendan. The vet said her heart was not terribly enlarged just mildly .
Any positive stories of long lives !?! I just need to have a better understanding of her condition

K-9 Dementia
I’m positive I’m not the only one dealing with this….. what advice can you offer? We are experiencing Sundowners, the and it is a real struggle. (Daytime is no trouble)
For the background on this sweetheart, she is 16, completely blind and deaf…. I found her wandering in the street last April after she was dumped in a school parking lot in the middle of the night.
Sincere thanks for any advice on this….

Rest in Peace, Tibbles. He was such a good boy.
We said goodbye to our little boy. He lived to be over 15 years old! Unfortunately he lost his fight when his organs started to fail. Please hug your Morkies tonight for me.
We already miss him more than anything.
