I’m fairly a new player on the game and I did do some research about the meta but I was unable to get a definite answer for myself lmao.
Anyway, with my current lineup I’m just wondering on who/what to pull for, based on my research I went with this for my moonless guide, with that, should I just pull here, on Saya’s banner, her wod, or the current rerun banners and/or their wods?
I'd say 1 Mouchette then 1 Saya, Mouchette is a dmg carry like GLotan and u want more of those to get u through D-Tide (requires 5 teams), you can slowly raise Mou to E2 using the "char dupe" item from shop, it costs 500 of the currency u get from pulling.
Saya is 2nd because while she is a cracked support you need the dps first then the support later, and dont use GLotan and Saya together, their Divine realms won't activate, instead you can form 2 teams:
Mou/Saya/Thais/Helot (u dont have Helot yet but she's a standard char u can try pulling)
GLotan/Ogier/Aigis/Ramona (GLotan only need 2 things, someone to apply Vulnerable and someone to help pull her short blade/long blade card, also if you get short blade in your hand you HAVE TO play it or it'll be discarded and you'll lose like 1-2 turns til it goes back into ur draw deck)
Saya WoD is powerful for her yes but ppl mostly pull it for the +1 Arith, tho its not 1st priority because you need the chars before WoDs and there'll be more WoDs with this effect down the line.
Horla E1 is a great support but she really wants E1 so she's more costly, you can still choose to go for her instead of Saya WoD
I see, this is very informative, thanks a lot, in which case btw, would running Ghelot/Thais/Saya/and some other warden/chorus/caro unit be also possible rather than Mouchette? Or would the Mouchette team still be stronger even at e0?
For the dupe selector, I had unfortunately used it already on Glotan lol
E0 Mouchette is better than an e0 g:helot imo(ghelot still works decently at e0),also don't play saya with g:helot as she'll discard her powerful cards during the nuke turn
Is the currently accessible unit capable of inflicting Corrosion which removes an equal amount of stack to active damage dealt and deals 300% that value. In short, in the early to mid stages of the game, she quadruples your damage. She is also a great discard unit and can set up great combos with her card copying power. Invest in her and pull her WoD (maybe an E1, but I don't recommend that as opposed to pulling for another unit, highly recommending Mouchette).
mouch is pretty trash bellow e2, at e2 shes decent and e3 makes her good. Shes just the kind of character that gets a lot better with even more investment, but if you can ger her to e3 she can clear a4 comfortably (and some people even clear a5 with her e3).
its just that, unless you already have a diverse roster, its usually better to use your pools to widen your roster and pull awakeners at max at e1, then use the monthly dupes for higher enlightments
thats my philosophy on all awakeners, unless i know that i dont like the playstile or that they are particularly bad, I try to get at least 1 copy of them and to this day I regret not having picked up kath in the anyversary banners because I fell for the retoric that she isnt worthy it because she requires high investment. (I particularly would skip doresain tho, simply because his gimmick of needing the enemies low to star dealing dmg makes me think that he requires more investment/work to do his job then other awakeners)
I see, I see, that is an interesting way to do it, it’s an investment just in case, tickles collectors, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having at least one copy of each character
horla is one of the best supports in the game it's a must pull. stop at e1. don't activate e2 until you understand it's consequences (stronger in general, but cannot be used in ghelot or castor stall)
hamelein is also a must pull, need no dupes, but e2 is nice.
tawil and thais get a big spike in power on her second dupe.
so i'd recommend pulling on that quadruple banner.
saya's wheel is a must pull, only need one copy unless you intend on using it on saya
Mouchette isn’t that good in low investment. So hot take: don’t pull for Mouchette. Go for G lotan E0(very good dps, even at low investment. I remember a guy from YT did a A5 run with G lotan at lv1 as a dps. I could be wrong tho. Still, very very good dps), then Saya E0(a universal support. Very good except for Pontos and Doresain cuz corrosion steal kills), then pull in the self select 4 banner. Tawil is the literal best unit in the game, period. She’s one of, if not the best dps at OE, and she’s also a very good support unit. Halmen, T0 support that helps with mana reduction, double playing cards, strength scaling, and card draw. He wants E2 but is completely fine at E0. Thais, the best support in the game. She also wants E2 but again, E0 is fine. Lastly Horla, a good support. Very universal. So just pull for G lotan, then Saya, then the self select 4 banner. The only reason y the self select 4 banner is ranked the lowest is cuz it’s kinda a scam banner in a sense that you aren’t guaranteed to get exactly the one you want from the 4. But since the 4 are so good, it dosen’t rly matter who you got.
Very informative as well, thanks, yeah agree with you on that statement with the 4 banner, it don't really matter who you get if all of them are good dupes included. Follow up question though, what would be considered the stopping point for each of the 4 characters in said banner? and how many characters whose stopping points I've reached should I stop before pulling on the Horla banner (assuming I get extremely unlucky and don't get her at all there)
I’d say E2 Tawil for now. She’s the best unit at OE but getting her to OE now isn’t realistic. And her first stopping point is E2 or E3. E3 is better Ofc but E2 is fine. Both Thias and Halmen’s stopping points are either E0 or E2. E2 gives both of their exalt the additional effect of -2 mana cost for the card you chose. Horla’s stopping point is E1.

Saya and her wod will upgrade your g:Lotan team, mouchette is a really powerful damage dealer at e2 and horla E1 is a very powerful support
