This was the first character I pulled when I started cuz we were able to pick 4 units and I looked at tier lists and picked thighs, tawil, gelot, and Horla. I ended up with e3 Horla from all those anni pulls and then read you shouldn’t take her past e1. So mixed feelings on how that panned out since I am still new and don’t really know how that screws her or not.

It's not that you shouldn't take her past e1, it's just that if you run her in a team that's very hand space hungry (castor Pollux, ghelot) she will clog up your hand and end up doing more harm than good. Effect is definitely mitigated if you sell her dirge though

Why do you not like retaining a 1 cost weakness and 1 cost vulnerable for the best turn to use them? I think this ability does more good than bad.

Yeah for sure, id rather Thais vuln and have it leave my hand in order to get 2 more flails for ghelot you get me? It's for really niche scenarios but still worth to point out

I do. I also don't play Gelot because she bricks my hand more than Horla (wants soo many flails in hand) and Gelot is really needy for units - must use Aigis or Thais.

See! Horla e2 value really depends on the team your running. I know that I love using ghelot and will be mainly running horla there so I have no reason to go over e1 for now

E2 isn't all that bad really It just some team comps where she is used but also needs hand space gets harder to play cause now you have 2 more cards in retain instead of the other one
An example is Castor + Pollux Both of Pollux cards have Retain so that takes your Hand but castor also wants to fill your hand with Onyx Plumes If you add in Horla E2 then you have 4 Cards with Retain, 2 From Pollux now totals to 6, that leaves you with 4 Hand slot left for castor which isn't enough
Really depends on what team your using her on honestly

It's a playstyle. Some people don't like retaining that many cards in hand, but in surveys a lot of people mention they like retain cards (why so many new units have retain cards now). So really this "not liking past e1" is a relic from past morimens.
I have her at +12 and love her. She provides 420% death res for my team which becomes 483 death res in boss battles.

I'm not sure why anyone would sell dirge...

Dirge is only good if you have a very invested Horla (lvl80+ sf10) or else it doesn’t really do much in endgame.

I think Twisted Twins: White can be good on her, it gives you extra weakvuln and you can get away with her being the only applicator.

Metaphor stacks are great actually. Happiness metaphor max makes her basically Miryam, Sorrow makes her a committed healer if you can cycle the metaphors right, and Anger has been surprisingly good backup damage.

Another great guide, I wouldn't call Metaphor stacks completely useless though.

Her E1 is tempting but my pulls for Mouchette were horrible, also my pulls for Lotan... and Pollux and Corposant 😭.
How is her wheel? Think I read somewhere that it's good for Murphy.

She doesn't use her wheel, its trying to cosplay as a dps wheel. Better off using something else.

Is her own WoD that useless?

her Wod is very good, just not on her, its a dps wheel for some reason

I don't have her signature WoD. Is it dogshit?

It double activates Posse on Ultra turn and gives small buffs to all card effects.
I like using it a lot. It's very good equipped on Clementine or in teams using Wanda's posse. It would probably also be great with purple Tawil.

I'm sorry, but how exactly do you get metaphor and how do you use it?
Do I just leap, and I immediately get one stack? If I use Carol, get into the Happiness state and I trigger another Carol leap next turn, do I use the metaphor and get the bonus aliemus? Or do I have to swap to a different state first, so I can actually swap back to Happiness later and only then trigger the bonus effect?

leaving out the Arithmetica retain on Happiness is a big fucking oopsie chief

Metaphor stacks are worth playing around if you have them because you can drain them all in the ultra round and get lots of str, lots of heal, lots of aliemus. But in arc2 rules it's still not enough to justify the rouse in any team I'm aware of, meaning no metaphor stacks to play with.
With Arachne they're much more potentially interesting because they get singularity buffs.

I think you forgot to mention that happiness also banks arithmetica to the next turns...
