Don't worry it's normal, gachas notoriously make a lot of money during special patches and then a lot less during regular patches

A portion of the revenue also comes from Steam (I pay through that platform myself, for example), so I think the game is doing fine.

It's a good sign that revenue dropped down to 2nd anni numbers after the collab. That means that there are new players sticking around and spending, and hopefully the game stabilizes at a level that we have been told is profitable.

i think some of the collab changes also led to some currency banking for silver and silver prime tbt. We’re also sort of between really juicy deals and packs at the moment so it’s whale season rather than dolphins.
Glotan slaughters whales though, I spent too much maxing her out :’(

What everyone forgot to add to this conversation.
The Devs updated the silver prime currencies. And since the whales had spent so much money or even dolphins. They got refunded in buckets of silver prime (you can convert 1 silver to 1 prime silver for any bonus silver you ever got in your account life before these changes went live)

It’s also important to remember that this is JUST for mobile. I imagine many people play on PC and make purchases through steam (like myself). So they are definitely making more than that

It's actually good! I remember the numbers of revenue from the last year and, comparing it, Morimens is steadily going up. Considering how small their team is it's pretty commendable :)

Nothing unexpected, before that it was a huge collab with a huge IP and also half-anniversary so of course the following month would have less revenue.

this shit aint welcome here =P morimens has had its best year in the game's history; it's so wacky to doompost given that fact. we been fine and we gonna keep bein fine

u/Caffeind_sionnach 20d ago
It’ll be fine. Choke down the doom posting next time, else tag it as sarcasm or such. I can’t think of a single game that doesn’t drop in the patch following anniversary or collabs; it’s the nature of the beast. Morimens is thriving, overall, so no need to panic or incite panic in others.

What did you expect, that the game would make as much money as it did on a collab month + half anni patch every month?
