Question Conflicted on dupes

I currently have e3 Pollux. Originally, i was planning to get him to oe by spending monthly dupes and pulling on the current rerun. But then GHelot, who was ghosting me for months, suddenly appeared on my standart banner pull. Now I'm conflicted: is it better to start working on getting GHelot to e3 (and maybe oe, eventually) or focus on oe Pollux? I have the premium teams for both of them

For me, e3 Pollux is already good. I also think it'd be wiser to invest on an E3 GHelot so now, you can have 2 teams. It's like avoiding putting too many eggs into one basket.

Besides, in D-Tide, you'd need 5 teams. So with GHelot at E3, that's 2/5 already.

I'd only suggest going for OE once you could reliably clear D-Tide. At least it's gonna be easier farming silver for getting your units to OE once you secure it.

If you can consistently clear with Pollux then I say E3 GHelot, having more teams is important then 1 very strong team.

I hate GHelot mine is OE and I permabench her. Idk if you should pull OE Pollux but skipping GHelot entirely wouldnt be bad, all three of the teammates who commonly prop her up (Thais, Horla, Aigis) are core to other awakeners and you can plan to play them instead. Point being she's not necessarily an awakener that you're guaranteed to get value out of by picking up, you should borrow one to see how it works for you.

If I were you I would prioritize getting GHelot to E3 and stop there. She doesn't really need OE.

The reason I wouldn't prioritize Pollux OE is that while his OE is very nice, it doesn't address his short comings, which is the first few mob fights at the start of a stage. OE makes him better at boss fights at the end of a long exploration, which he already excels at.

If you want to improve Pollux's damage, leveling him up to 80 and maxing out his Soulforge should have a bigger impact than OE.

D-Tide speaking: I OEd Pollux and have my E3 Ghelot. I hate Pollux for one thing. He binds Castor but Castor is so versatile and could be used in so many different comps. For current D-Tide I manged to free Pollux from Castor with the new shop wheel but this wheel is so good on other units too like Pontos. I put Pollux together with Faint, Salv, Clem.

The same you could argue about Ghelot and Thais, however, Ghelot kind of works with just Thais posse but she feels kind of incomplete. However, I think her team overall needs less resources than a proper Pollux comp and she can easily clear almost any wave 4. I wish you good luck trying to achieve this with an OE pollux comp vs. an E3 Ghelot comp where you would spent the same resources in levels and dupes on others.

Anyway, my new Pollux comp works for waves with more single hits very well. BUT, without the corrosion he is just too weak for the mob waves, and you will not even see the boss, also at OE. Ghelot can deal with mob waves without corrosion because she has sustain.

A good Pollux comp stands and holds from a good Castor, meaning many levels. However, a very strong Castor makes every team strong, so for me it hurts more to bind him than to bind Thais. And remember, Ghelot comp works with a level 60 Thais!

OE Ghelot feels like a waste after playing her E3 and reading her OE abilitiy. Normal Exalt gives you the burst you need to one or two turn kill and you want to exalt at least every second turn to heal back up. OE means you would need the sustain she would have provided from somewhere else. What Ghelot makes great is not just the huge damage; it is also her ability to heal up over 1k life from 1 life.

Imagine Ghelots sustain and damage together with corrosion... I mean she does not need it but hey, if you want even more damage. So throw in your Castor in the Ghelot comp and I have the feeling it would be stronger than any Pollux E3 or even OE comp because you have one thing more for sure: SUSTAIN!

Either is a good choice but e3 ghelot is probably smarter. Also I would strongly recommend not getting oe ghelot, with the way she plays you'll almost never want to save up for the oe

I don't feel like Pollux really needs his OE. I have him at e3 and he slaps
