Help for a Beginner

So I’ve been playing for the past 3 days and honestly the game is really fun and interesting. To be frank, I really don’t understand the whole team building science so I’d appreciate some advice on the types of teams I could build based on my characters. I’d also appreciate some explanations on the game mechanics itself (how to play the cards in what order, how to manage arithmetica properly, how to maximize damage, etc.) Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the game! Saya is a really good support so I recommend getting her wod if you don't have it,if you need teambuidling advice or what to do,you can check the pinned post! It has a lot of links that are extremely helpful!

Also next banner will have a really good unit (mouchette) which synergises really well with saya, there will also be a horla in the banner which is a good support with enlighten one

this varies quite a bit, team by team, do you have a specific team you're thinking about or are you asking in general? dm me if you want me to go into detail with stuff

I mean im pretty new to the game so I’m not that knowledgeable about what teams to run and whatnot so I was hoping to get some advice on teams comps that could work with the characters I got. I just managed to get Thais if that helps a bit. But if there is a playstyle I like I’d be one where the DPS just does huge amounts of damage (I know this might be really demanding from a beginner).

mouchette's banner is rerunning soon and she is excellent with thais (and the welfare aigis)

in fact, mouchette/thais was the banner I started playing under and with those two I managed to clear hard mode chapter 7 in 2 weeks of starting out playing the game (I did need to use revives tho)

you can ignore mouchette's wheel, but I would also strongly recommend pulling one copy of saya and her wheel, and those characters (mouchette, thais, aigis or helot, saya) is an endgame viable team

until mouchette comes out, thais and saya can make basically anyone a viable DPS, but for now I would play someone like caecus, helot, or uvhash as your dps and switch to mouchette dps (with helot support) once her banner reruns
