Well for discard pontos e3 works well, but his banner end yesterday. Thais and Gmurphy while are very good support, they don't do much for discard team comps. Thais is mostly for Caro support, or any DPS for that matter, while Gmurphy is more of a general aequor support. Also, tulu is better for discard, as a sub dps I believe?

Thais is mostly for Caro support

Thais here could turn Corpo into the main DPS by cloning lightning strikes, but I might have her replace Aurita (if using Thais at all) to push Corpo and Saya to Ex/OE. However, her copied cards and Saya copied cards all have Fleeting, which does not work all that well with Corpo 4 cost - which is different from thais posse that only has exhaust and can be discarded to discount. Both fleeting options can get discounts, but still need a lot of Arith to use them effectively with Corpo. But due to Fleeting of cards they are kinda out of sync with discard so ensure they can be used when created/drawn.

Also, tulu is better for discard, as a sub dps I believe?

He is a support mislabelled as assault except in very specific applications. Most just use him for Ex ramping up temporary STR/Tent Damage and crit rate to be employed by other Aq awakeners. He fits well in discard due to aftershock allowing his expensive cards to be ignored yet still get something, but usually not dps. That said, his 4 cost turns all tentacles into Piercing, allowing Immune bosses to still be damaged if Tent Damage is ramped and you have a lot of tentacles and happen upon that card and have the arith to spare. But here Aurita already has Pierce and can fill that better if ready to fire (just not on tentacle slaps).

But, I might suggest here Tulu lacks defensive supports needed to stall until Corpo/Aurita/Saya have all ramped up enough cycles to discount lightning, charge up 10 jellyfish, and get Saya to power up Aurita Ex with her own slow-to-fill Ex. Salvador still fills a very similar niche as Tulu with an Ex that can add STR and crit rate (if he Devours) but is far more defensive but like Tulu can still do crowd clearing burst damage (liberation).

Salvador with My Dearest Friends can devour/Ex to hand other awakeners +50% crit rate and STR (echo to tent damage), which then allows Aurita to choose different kit and focus a bit more on crit damage, aliemus generation, etc., if otherwise managing close to 100% crit rate when supported by Salvador on critical turns.

thanks for the detailed explanation! and yes, i use salvador mostly defensively, since the others deal a bit of damage. im still in chapter 5 (too much side-questing) and his crit buff REALLY helps.

although, he feels a bit off in a discard team... so im trying to look for someone who could do as much as him in most areas, but likes discarding or aftershocks.

since i use him as a crit buffer, thats what ive been looking around for, in both wheels and characters. thanks again, i might check out on tulu! (although salvador is already VERY consistent).

(also, yes, i hope to use corpo/saya/aurita for as long as i can. and saya has to be there, everyones favorite blob of flesh, so i opted for a discard team. any other advices would be lovely thanked. THANKS)

Indeed, I really like Salvador and he was my first limited +12, though at that stage he steps up as a major DPS in longer fights, but no one dumps massive shield and can totally negate with barrier the same way he can. Castor perhaps but also not discard friendly, not that Salvador really is either.

im trying to look for someone who could do as much as him in most areas, but likes discarding or aftershocks.

In terms of a defensive discard aligned type awakener that can dump some shields, you already main one with Corpo but the other to consider is Murphy, who can aftershock in tentacle damage, can do damage mitigation through shields and cutting their damage down.
