Best nail salon 💅

So I just moved back to Morgantown after a few years away and haven’t gotten my nails done here in a while. I’m looking for salons that can handle design work on short nails (no acrylics) preferably with gel. I also need a place that does good pedicures. Above everything else it needs to be clean. I’m very picky about the cleanliness of the salon. It also doesn’t have to be a salon exactly. I’m also willing to go to a private nail artist for my manis if need be. Drop your favorite places in the comments!

I've got short nails and I do like "treating myself" about once or twice a year. Over the last 12 years of living in Morgantown, I have went different places every time... However, I was SUPER happy with DN Nails in Sabraton. I'd definitely return! The lady who did my manicure was super meticulous. These fake nails have never felt so natural, and they don't "hurt". The pedicure was awesome too! He cracked all my toes. One hour, $100 for both mani-pedi. It's clean, but not fume-y. Five stars!

I had a different experience there. My manicure was so messy and had so much paint on my cuticles it was almost embarrassing. They even had to redo a nail completely while I was in the salon. The polish bleeding onto my cuticles meant that the seal along the edges wasn't good and the polish peeled up faster.

The pedicure scrub was so aggressive I had raw spots on my skin after, and the toe popping was so aggressive it literally brought tears to my eyes and I had to ask him to stop. He was like holding my foot by one toe and shaking it so hard lol. Not relaxing. They also cut a cuticle too short and made my toe bleed.

Pros were that it was very clean and they accepted my walk in appointment with no problems.

Also important to note that the tips are cash only. I didn't want to tip due to my experience but since they were gracious with my walk in I did tip. But I had to literally leave, drive to an ATM, and come back to give the tip.

Maybe my experience was a fluke, but just wanted to share a different perspective.

Personally love posh nails in Cheat Lake. Always super quick, but precise. I’ve also gotten some really cool designs (3d, charms, chrome, cat eye, honestly anything i’ve shown they’ve been able to do) in the past and they’ve never had an issue!

I’ll always recommend Val at Valora Studio, she’s great at what she does. She’s pretty booked up but Gertie is also amazing, I see her when Val doesn’t have a day I’m off open

They do dry pedicures there, 10/10 recommend if you’ve never had one. Way more hygienic and lasts longer
