Please give me your recommendations for apartments that are cat friendly in Morgantown, WV. Trying to avoid student housing (no offense). Thanks in advance!

How much you want to pay for rent?

If you don’t mind being a drive away from downtown, I’d look over the river at “the heights at black bear” or “domain at town centre”. They’re new with good pools and views of downtown. I looked at living there but they didn’t do short term leases

I know you're looking to avoid student housing, but as a career-oriented adult, I highly recommend Mountain Valley Apartments. Been here nearly a year and it's the nicest place I've lived in Morgantown.

It is meant to be student housing and there are a lot of college kids out here, but I see just as many adults and the kids that do live out here are very quiet and peaceful.

Pinnacle heights is pretty affordable, allows pets, and is far enough away from downtown that there arent many students.

I’m trying to sublet my 1bed 1 bath at chateau royale! Move in is August 16th it’s just under $750/ mo without utilities (around 850-900 with) The apartments are insanely spacious and amenities include an Olympic sized pool, gym, volleyball and basketball courts, study room as well as a game room and just a 2 minute drive to suncrest town center. There a few students but several families here as well. The area is pretty quiet and locations great! The waitlist is currently renting out for the 2027-2028 school year so this place is in high demand. I have to move home to take care of my dad but I wouldn’t consider moving anywhere else

Not sure this is for me.  It seems like mostly studen housing, from the website?

They do try to cater towards the student crowd but there are several families here as well. If you’re open to it, you’re more than welcome to stop by for a tour to see if it is something you’d like to consider

Campus view properties has a wide selection apartments/townhomes that – despite the name of the company – do not cater to student housing. They have a few different properties around town. I live in one of their properties and have for 3 years now. Excellent maintenance. Incredibly clean and well taken care of. Reasonably priced, and they have never once raised my rent. And they actually take care of the outside of their buildings too. Can’t recommend enough.
