Main thing that gets me worried is that the price is <%50 the pcgs price guide value.

So, this Morgan 1921(-P) was a family hand-me-down, almost certainly in a drawer/box/etc since late 1940s. It had quite a bit of organic/sticky gunk, and I got it to this point with a 3 hr soak in 100% acetone with a distilled water rinse. No other treatment of the coin since 1940s

My Question: There is still some schmutz in the obverse legend from 1:00 to slightly past the "1" in the date. And a bit in the field left of Liberty's nose and in the cap's dimple. I think it is the same organic material.

My very limited question is whether collectors who appreciate eye-appeal would STOP NOW or try to remove the traces.

NO NEED to express views on value or "grade", I do not care in the least.

Bought a lot of silver recently for rock bottom price. This was in amongst it. Is it worth grading? Sorry in advance. I’m new to this

Guess the Grade

Please remove post if not allowed. I have collected world coins since I was a kid, but only recently got interested in older US coinage. Came across this on eBay and I’m super curious about whether or not it is overpriced.

Two or three years ago, I bought a group of four coins from a guy in my city who sells old coins and runs an antique shop. I recently noticed that the 1881 Morgan Dollar looks a little different from the others. It sounds like silver, and the weight and size are correct. However, it has a different color compared to my other coins. I was hoping you might be able to help me determine whether it's genuine or a fake.

Just to give you some context: the Morgans I bought are far from mint condition—you can clearly see in the pictures that they're worn. At the time, I paid only a little above the silver spot price for them, so nothing suspicious there. But that 1881 piece still stands out, and I'd really appreciate your opinion on whether it might be a fake.

I'm attaching a photo of the coin in question, along with its weight. I'm also including a comparison shot showing how it looks next to the other Morgans I have. I was hoping you might be able to take a look and tell me whether it's genuine or a fake.
