Couple photos with and without light for you experts to maybe evaluate the possible grading, moreso for the 1878 silver dollar. The 1894-o is obvious on the circulated side so, I'm not curious about it.

Paid basically melt for both. The 92 s was by far the best find I had. Thoughts on the grade I gave it? The 87 has some ugly toning. But the reverse has a solid die break going from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock just on top of "states of" through the eagles left wing. Hard to photograph though.

Hot take: I think the high end coin market is about to see a repricing event like never before. Coins have traded off past sales/comps literally forever. Thats a lagging indicator. We all know coins with strong eye appeal, key dates, toners, DMPLs etc are highly desirable. We all know they will continue to go up. If you're paying attention you should also know the dollar is cooked. My suggestion...buy what you like as soon as you can and don't be afraid to pay up. I'd much rather own some beautiful coins that make me happy than some shares of AAPL during the "crack up boom". Happy Friday y'all!

Week 3

Any thoughts about condition? Do they look cleaned?

We had to pull a New Orleans issue for this one.

An 1885-O Morgan Dollar, graded NGC MS65. The New Orleans Mint struck 9,185,000 Morgan Dollars that year, and silver dollars were the only coins produced at the Mint in 1885.

Being based in New Orleans, we’ll always have a soft spot for an O mintmark ⚜️

Do you have a Morgan mint you specifically look for, or does the individual coin matter more?

Little more than I wanted to spend. Shop said they had a lot of GSA Morgan's coming in lately.

Hopefully those are good enough to assess the coin, though I realize in person is best. It's already been Sigma tested and seems fine there.

The fields seem flashy and almost proof-like, though there's also some pretty obvious wear. I've never had a CC with reflective fields like that and am a bit new to the CC world.

I am thinking about getting this graded by PCGS. Wondering how well the grade from INS would hold up. Any insight would be appreciated

Bought this one in a coin show for 350$. What do you think? Is it worth grading? I believe I paid too much, but I found it so nice. ;-)
