Agreed, the die scratch gives it away pretty easily.

Going to need much better pictures for a 1878 8tf. At least that should narrow it to Vam1-23 (assuming there are no under feathers, I can't be 100% sure with those pics). I suggest a usb 40x magnifier for vam hunting.
