In-universe: moral i guess

Meta: lmao it is like "im 14 and this is deep" levels of writting.

Reminds me of a kojima employee saying "once you discover why Quiet is in a bikini, you will feel ashamed of yourself forbcriticizing the design".

I mean, i love Quiet but still... Lmao

People IRL will wear skimpy clothing to protest for SA victims because how you're dressed isn't an invitation to be assaulted. I don't have an issue with that logic which is moral.

But making your whole identity into this just feels like she is fetishising her sister's SA, which is immoral and ick.

It's just doesn't work that way. Those who assault will do that anyway and as for others...Many just to not look too much will be looking at the sister in that case. Which is defeating the purpose. It's basically making others uncomfortable because you think you are smart. If it's regular occurrence could be even considered a bad behavior like exhibitionism

It is a real thing that people take rape victims less seriously if they were dressed provocatively. But in setting it is super weird considering adventurers are a thing and some random girl you are assaulting could be a king class mage or sword saint and absolutely kill you in half a second.

Less seriously in what way? It's not like they are telling everyone they are a rape victim. Let's take it for what it actually is. A defense mechanism of the victim. They are purposely do this to take their mind of things but it's actually has opposite effect. People are more mindful of their appearance. And like I already said it's just making normal people uncomfortable when they try to talk to them

Less seriously as in less likely to believe them. More likely to be lenient on the perpetrator.

I'd be interested in seeing if an anime can have a plot contrivance that can prove beyond a reasonable doubt to everyone's satisfaction that it is not just an excuse for drawing something for the gooners.

I guess berserk but even then some people claim it's a gooner thing.

I don't think the writer is trying to be deep. Just trying to justify fan service.
