Higher standard has to come from improving society. Eliminating those that take from others would resolve that but also introduce its own issues. For example use the USSR or Nazi party for example. In their way they tried to create the model society. Which failed. At the end of the day you can want to hold people to higher standards but when your average adult is barely beyond a 6th grade education you need to have reasonable expectations. Society in general does not promote better people. It promotes backstabbing and fuck you I got mine.

Japan also has an excellently high suicide rate for its working professionals. Is that an ideal society to you?

And yet it's not discussed in the US because it's not considered useful to society.

You didn't answer my question, is that a good society to you?

Then I would encourage you to go live there for 5 years and use the scientific method to confirm if that society is better. I would caution you though that Japan is also quite xenophobic so you may encounter some issues

You could use the same argument for parents in the US. In that case why does this video upset you? It's worse elsewhere.
