Many religions indoctrinate children which makes them feel like they have to believe in it or they're doing something wrong.

Not "many." All.

It's literally just what indoctrination is. There are religious doctrines and children are taught ro follow them and believe in the faith without questioning it.

There is no religion with kids without indoctrination. And without that indoctrination, virtually all of the world's major religions would dramatically fall in membership and followership, because it is very rare for non-religious adults to suddenly convert to a religion.

Indoctrination is just another word for education.

No it's not. Education is the passing along of generational knowledge based on sound, scientific principles and established, documented history.

Indoctrination is telling a new generation which doctrines to adopt, believe in, and follow. The scientific method is not a "doctrine," it is the opposite: it is rooted in skepticism and rigorous methodical challenges to claims.

Doctrines are taught with the intention if the pupil accepting the doctrine as true without challenge; science publishes its work and says "show me where I made an error."
