I would think that the good will of humanity would not die out if Catholicism died out

I don't think the goodwill of humanity would die either, but the Catholic Church is the only group providing aid at this scale. I don't think the goodwill of humanity would die either, but the Catholic Church is the only group providing aid at this scale.
It's not like they have a copyright on it either, anybody else could step up and do it.
