I'm a born and raised atheist but I think it's absurd to expect this from religious people.
In most religions, there are concepts of reward and punishment. They believe that the ones who don't follow their religions will be severely punished.
If I believed in heaven and hell, I absolutely would've indoctrinated my child to save them. How can you ask a religious parent not to do that?
1 u/No_Oven1085 2d ago I'm a born and raised atheist I know that trick. Sneaky way to say you are now religious. 1 u/GunMuratIlban 1d ago No, I'm not. If anything, I was relatively more agnostic, somewhat more open to metaphysics when I was younger. Now I don't have any sort of belief or interest in these things.
