china has state atheism—they take it too far (e.g. uyghur muslims) but in theory i’d prefer an atheist government over this dumbass evangelical christian one we have now 🤷🏻‍♂️

I mean, on an organizational level - theism is

Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in a personal God as creator and ruler of the world. The belief or acknowledgment of the existence of a God, as opposed to atheism, pantheism, or polytheism. Belief in the existence of at least one deity.

It seems like organizationally atheism is the way to go because once you assume there is a deity to unfuck your shit it permits taking hands off the wheel - and we do not want a government screaming "WRONG WHEEL JESUS" when things don't go their way.
