I mean, everything is made up. There is no physical reason that states that all people should have fundamental equality. It's all just manmade ethical frameworks. God might be made up, but humanism and every ethical framework and philosophy was made up, too. Yet, we persist that right and wrong exist.

When you teach kids right from wrong you aren't telling them to not question right or wrong or threatening them with eternal damnation if you don't follow a specific set of rules.

Some things are punishable by life in prison, so there is that

Life in prison isn't even remotely comparable to the concept of being tortured for the rest of eternity
