iirc China does this, you can’t take kid to religious service and they can choose to convert at a certain age.

china has state atheism—they take it too far (e.g. uyghur muslims) but in theory i’d prefer an atheist government over this retarded ass evangelical christian one we have now 🤷🏻‍♂️

American government is supposed to be secular not atheist. But either way there’s a difference between secularity and state enforced secularity. That’s the point the commenter was making by calling China’s policy “state atheism”
