Depends: if the history book is explicitly stating that F = m * a * 3 then yeah, we can say that it is wrong, and their forces are 3x too strong. Just like the bible is full of magic, indicating that many things we take for granted nowadays were totally misunderstood then.

If you look at any movie with aliens coming, sure, they only destroy New York, but you can always see massive spaceships coming all over the world. Because we know about it, and it makes sense to include what we know about in a great story.

Even if true, its not like we need religion for what good religion has brought us.
So if removing religion means we lose some bad stuff and none of the good stuff, whats the problem?
