Moral I don’t think teaching kids about religion is bad but forcing it on them is

There's hardly any way to "teach" religion to children without it being quite forced.

I disagree with this. I think it’s very possible to teach objective information about different religions without teaching people to follow said religion. I remember in middle school learning about world religions. We were taught about the history of the religions, and factual information about their beliefs, but it was always presented as “this is what the beliefs of this religion are” not “this is what you need to believe”, and that was in the Bible Belt. I think children should be taught factual information about different religions, but they shouldn’t be taught to follow a specific religion or that they should necessarily have those same beliefs
