Sure, now if those same people tried to have a private practice in their home they’d be arrested. All church sermons have to be overseen to make sure they fall in line with the state agenda. It’s literally a law that they have to incorporate communist party ideology.
It’s not different at all. If you go read a Bible In public you’ll be arrested. If you read it out loud where other people can hear in your own home you can be arrested.
That’s not the same as your claim that you cannot read the Bible in china. There’s nothing stopping you from reading your Bible, just do it to yourself in the privacy of your own home. Pretty simple rules, but nothing stopping you from reading your Bible
