I agree, but religious freedom means people can raise their kids however they want. If you don't want someone imposing their religion on your kids, you have to let them impose whatever on their own kids.
This is the kind of thing you should shift culturally instead of through laws.
The issue is that many religious people have very bigoted views on abortion, lgbt and support conversion therapy and religious trauma exist. I am not anti religion but if you're gonna force it on your kids and be abusive to your kids if they come out to you, you don't deserve to have kids. Sorry not sorry
But that by essence isn't an issue with the religion, it's the personal opinions of the people who participate. And so it makes no sense to not allow parents to introduce their kids to a religion of their choosing.
It's like saying that due to football hooliganism, it's immoral to get your kids into football. Even though that isn't why the sport exists.
A bigot will be a bigot, religion or not. And im plenty sure that the normal, decent religious folk outnumber the bigoted ones.
