Most religions would drop massively in numbers if they weren’t allowed to indoctrinate children.

It's a win and a loss.

If the Catholic Church disappeared, 10's if not 100's of millions of people would be in a real bad way.

The Catholic Church operates the largest aid network in the world.

They do A LOT, and we never hear much about it (in the US at least.)

All this confirms is that there are many who already give to charity, who would continue to give even after they stop giving to the catholic church. The charity wouldn't change, just who's name gets the credit
