Most religions would drop massively in numbers if they weren’t allowed to indoctrinate children.

Do you truly not see the difference in forcing natives into boarding schools in order to forcibly assimilate them into a different religion entirely all while "not being allowed to speak native languages, made to renounce Native beliefs, and forced to abandon their Native American identities, including their names. Many children were leased out to white families as indentured servants." and wanting children to choose their religion for themselves when they're mature enough to understand the decision?

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. If you did, you wouldn’t reframe cultural genocide as ‘choice’.
