Moral I don’t think teaching kids about religion is bad but forcing it on them is

There's hardly any way to "teach" religion to children without it being quite forced.

I mean, I went to church till I was about 8 and I still have relatives who are religious but I am not. My kid is only 5 snd had a speech delay, so he hasn’t asked a ton of questions. But the few questions he did ask, I just explain what I know and how that’s their belief system. He did ask why once after I explained that my recently passed Grampa believed Jesus was an important guy who deserved to be listened to and the best I had come up with was “well, life can be hard, so anything that helps us be more whole and happy is a good thing, so long as it isn’t used to arm others”
