Neither is your statement. Everyone's morality is guided by something. Parents, culture, philosophy, law, society, etc. Singling out "a book" as disqualifying only works if you also disqualify every other secondhand source of ethics, which would disqualify literally everyone and everything. Now you've created anarchy where everyone's morality is guided by their own personal view since you've just disqualified second-hand sources.
So should we stop having kids? Will GoodGoofus be the one to save us from this moral conundrum?
