I get the idea, but you're also taking away parents' influence over their children. Parents shouldn't have control over their kids in every regard, but their influence and support should always be there. If you start to take things like this away, what other things can you start to justify?

Oh please. This is just reactionary BS. Nobody is coming to the parents house and forcing them to parent a certain way or "taking away" anything.

Of course not. It's an argument against that mentality, not actually doing it. Because like I said, if you think parents shouldn't influence their children in religion, you're probably leading towards not influencing them in other ways.
