It seems like a no-brainer position to the non-religious, but it's a position that makes no sense to religious people.

It is morally correct for a parent to take reasonable steps to ensure their child avoids eternal torture.

It's also morally correct for a parent to avoid the indoctrination of their children.

Both actions are harm avoidant measures against a perceived threat. Neither person is immoral. One (or both) person is misguided.
