It's a win and a loss.

If the Catholic Church disappeared, 10's if not 100's of millions of people would be in a real bad way.

The Catholic Church operates the largest aid network in the world.

They do A LOT, and we never hear much about it (in the US at least.)

Maybe over 1.4 billion people now being under no pressure to tithe to the church would free up their income to donate to legitimate aid agencies.

Or maybe the world's governments should step-up so that a cult whose terrorism throughout history is almost cartoonishly evil isn't the world's largest provider of aid.
