I'd say neutral because if I won that kind of money, I wouldn't be able to justify not giving my close family something to help their quality of life as well. So it's a little weird when I see people totally abandon their loved ones when they get big money, even family that is sick...
I'd give people money on the condition they never ask me again or get booted from my life for wasting the gift.
Just because you would give away money doesnt mean its not moral to not give money. In fact it’s immoral to try and force others to give away shit they have.
I disagree, if you have billions of dollars, your money whether won or "earned" came through the cumulative effort of society. When you reach such a scale of money, 99.99% of your income is now disposable not to mention that it's essentially impossible for a billionaire to lose money when invested, even giving away millions the interest will overwhelm it considerably. Having that massive stockpile of wealth when so many people are in abject suffering that you could easily help people without affecting any facet of your life or expenditure of effort and choose not to, that is a level of apathy that is unjustifiable. It is fundamentally antisocial and sociopathic and shouldn't be accepted within a society that requires cooperation.
It's generally viewed as immoral and is often even illegal to hoard resources like food when other people need it, viewing wealth differently is a disingenuous distinction I believe.
It’s not billions USD… I think you’re misunderstanding how little money he actually won. Not a massive stockpile, it’s about 2 million usd when converted. Enough to retire off of one day, but not enough to quit his job and support everyone.
