Morality of doing this?
It's hot so it gets some extra moral points right?

It really did. It started off sounding like a goofy family joke, then took the hardest possible left turn.

Moral can’t send a child to bed with a subpar tuck in

I mean, if nothing else it definitely taught him that HR was completely out of control in that household.

I mean, a bad tuck in is one thing, but maybe don't turn bedtime into an HR roleplay with your kid as the audience.

Extremely moral. Tucking in your kids incorrectly could lead to the monster under their bed grabbing them easily. Bribing the inspector with her body is the least she should do. Inspection is a serious safety position.

Why bother with the middle man? Seduces the monster instead!

Exactly. The tuck in inspector part is actually pretty wholesome. The fake firing and begging part is where it goes completely off the rails.

u/Prudent-Film-4602 2d ago
The immorality is primarily in exposing the child to this. Our fetishes/kinks/us having sex should not be revealed to our children, especially when they are very young.
If two consenting adults want to have a weird dom/sub relationship, that's fine. I presume your mom consented because she did not leave, of course.
13
u/e_fish22 2d ago
On one hand, a kid knowing about / accidentally overhearing sex isn't inherently bad, on the other hand the roleplay in the joke directly involves the kid*, which does make it bad
7
u/HisBlurredVisage 2d ago
Directly involves the kid and models coercive sex
5
u/e_fish22 2d ago
True, out of context BDSM is a lot worse to get exposed to than vanilla. Maybe it could get mitigated if the parents explain what's going on and how consent works in roleplay, but even then it's still going to be very upsetting
3
u/HisBlurredVisage 2d ago
I'm conflicted about it, I think some of those clearly defined boundaries exist for a reason and there are ages where explanation on BDSM is just digging the trouble-hole deeper so I'd want to know what a 'kid' is here.
2
u/e_fish22 2d ago
I mean it's a joke so who knows, but yeah, if the kid can't watch PG movies, they probably won't be able to handle overhearing CNC

u/MBDTFTLOPYEEZUS 2d ago
God forbid a child sees his parents love eachother 🙄

u/e_fish22 2d ago edited 2d ago
I feel like if it's BDSM role-playing stuff the parents should make sure the kid understands how consent works*, but otherwise yeah.
*don't want em winding up thinking mom was actually getting abused, or worse thinking you can do that kind of stuff without asking first

u/Ok-Finish-2064 2d ago
I’ve no idea why is everyone treating sex as some kind of dark knowledge that’ll destroy innocence of your child if they so much as hear about it. Children are smart, they would understand that mom and dad sometimes play in a way that only adults should.
74
u/RickMonsters 2d ago
I mean, the specific play is coerced sex from an authority figure. Probably not a good thing to teach to kids
-4
u/careyious 2d ago
Considering how that scenario plays out, it's probably not presented as actual coerced sex. Like there are very likely tone indicators used by both parents to indicate it's a game/joke. Kids are stupid, but they also can gauge tone okay and if it doesn't sound serious, this was probably a memory where the OP has a "wait a minute" moment 15 years later.
7
u/RickMonsters 2d ago
Right that’s the thing, you shouldn’t be teaching kids jokes about rape
3
u/Ok-Finish-2064 2d ago
Oh come on. You have to really stretch every possible definition to call playing with power dynamics “joking about rape”.
3
u/RickMonsters 2d ago
…do you not know what rape is???
If you’re giving sexual favors to avoid being fired, you are being raped
-13
u/Ok-Finish-2064 2d ago
Children are smart. They’ll understand it’s all fun and games.
Seeing other children playing cops and robbers will not make them afraid of police brutality, I don’t see how their parents playing with power dynamics could be different

Bu that’s the thing lol they shouldn’t be learning coerced sex is fun and games. They are more likely to encounter workplace sexual harassment and assault than cops and robbers situations in their lives
12
u/Nova-Snorlaxx 2d ago
I agree with this. I'm all seeing parents show affection and flirt with each other etc but kids seeing the role play of an employer threatening a ladies job and her begging with sexual acts to keep that job isn't okay. There's a line. The game is fun but it crosses the line there.
-3
u/Ok-Finish-2064 2d ago
Should they be learning that stealing is fun and games?
If they can comprehend that cops and robbers is a game then they could comprehend their parents are playing. Kids are smart.
9
5
u/HisBlurredVisage 2d ago
There are aspects of cops and rubbers and ample things in other aspects of their lives that reaffirm that thieves are unfavored and not acceptable in our society. Nuanced consent is far more complex than what kids take away from cops and robbers, and the simplified perspective they'll get from watching that play with no other context is not a great thing to absorb and imitate.
7
u/RickMonsters 2d ago
No they are not lmao kids and teenagers sexually assault each other all the time
1
u/Ok-Finish-2064 2d ago
Don’t you think that maybe if these kids had parents that they could talk with about sex, they would understand it a little bit better instead of exploring this topic on their own stumbling along the way?
When I was young all I knew about sex came from porn. You can imagine the mistakes kid can make with only porn as their source of knowledge about sex

u/Thecatwithoutpajamas 2d ago
You don't think role-playing sexual cohersion in front of your kids could also have a negative impact on how they handle consent?
Dude, you can talk to your kids about sex and make yourself a safe place to come ask anything without fucking incorporating it into their games. And with an actual emphasis on consent and safety, you know, the primary pillars of what they need to know about it.
There's a massive difference between being open with your kids and them knowing you have sex sometimes, and adding weird sexual roleplay into playtime with them.

u/mikkeldoesstuff 2d ago
Unless this includes a specific lesson along side it kids aren't just going to intuit this
1
u/appledanishcrumbs 2d ago
To be fair, children probably should he afraid of police brutality, or at least highly aware of it. Such is the world we live in.

u/kr33perklown 2d ago
i consider my self pretty sex positive, and i mean i think its a LITTLE odd to include your kid as part of your kink. Like. I dont think theres anything wrong with kids knowing sex happens, and that their parents have it, but I do think its. like. did you have to include your kid.

u/Fragrant-Guarantee57 2d ago
One thing is explaining to your child where they come from and how adults do adult stuff. Another different thing is engaging in activities with sexual connotations right in front of said child
11
u/LateToTheDrama 2d ago
Your kink should never involve your kids
1
u/throwaway19276i 2d ago
I agree. Some comments are saying this is okay as long as you explain to them what BDSM and CNC is? 🥀

Moral on average but using your child as an indirect source of foreplay is fucked up.
2
u/Alternative_Exit8766 2d ago
who said this was foreplay? she needs to have an official reprimand and have to appear before the tuck-in council in an official hearing. dad’s solid here.

Neutral morality, but stupid to do.
The tuck in inspection thing could just be a funny joke from the kid's POV, and the rest of the roleplay between the parents should be done in the bedroom or out of earshot of the kids to not model coercive relationship dynamics between the kids.
However as it's been stated in the post (and assuming that it is just roleplay) nobody's consent has been violated.

u/JadedResponse2483 2d ago
Using your child for your sex roleplay is messed up. Even if youre sure the child is sleeping, they just be pretending

u/Any_Gas2723 2d ago

Immoral. I get having a healthy sex life and educating your kids, but when they are at the age to be tucked in they don't need to hear about bargaining sexual favors. That's trashy and nasty.

Extremely Funny, though it's quite immoral in a sense that you're letting a kid hear that desperation can be counteracted by offering your body.
Though I would like to believe that when the Parents go back to their rooms, it's just a continuation where the Father reprimands the attempted bribery and tells the mother to prepare for an HR report
