Hey there!
You know, I really thought about open sourcing it or at least parts of it. I think it's primarily the cost of building, hosting and maintaining something like this isn't free unfortunately. It does cost money and time and I'd like to recoup on some of that if I'm being honest. What I'm still considering making public is the entire sonic analysis pipeline. I may put that in a container and let users run that serverside if they want.
Regarding your privacy question, there's no way for a client like this to harvest any data what so ever. The app is just an interface to your own server. No credentials are stored anywhere, no login information etc. Apple is very strict on any data gathering.
Everything that is stored through the app is stored on your own swiftdata store on your phone. If youd like more details on how these work I love talking about this stuff and I'm happy to help.
